What is Yours Meets Mine?
Yours Meets Mine helps people find local offers and requests, including goods, skills, services, learning and activities. Members describe what they can offer or what they are looking for, then browse listings and possible matches.
Can I learn about Yours Meets Mine before joining?
Yes. This FAQ, the homepage, support and the legal and safety information are available without signing in. You need a member account to create listings and use the member search and personalised suggestions.
Are the example matches on the homepage live listings?
The homepage contains demonstration examples. Use the signed-in member area to search real, approved listings and view suggestions based on your own listings.
Open the member area →How do I join?
Choose Sign in, then “New here? Create an account”. Enter your email and password, accept the agreements, and follow the verification email. Complete your member profile by choosing a display name, town and preferred search radius.
Create an account or sign in →Do I need to download an app?
No. You can use Yours Meets Mine in a mobile or desktop browser. The homepage’s app-install option explains how to add it to your home screen where supported. Installing it is optional.
Can I pay or upgrade through Yours Meets Mine?
Payment processing and paid plan upgrades are not enabled yet. A listing can describe a paid offer, but that does not mean Yours Meets Mine currently processes the payment. No payment or subscription is created by viewing a match.
What if I cannot sign in?
Check that you are using the email and password for your Yours Meets Mine account. Use the eye toggle to check your password if needed. If it is still rejected, request a password reset. Your Yours Meets Mine password is separate from any Supabase dashboard login.
Reset your password →My verification email is missing or the link has expired. What should I do?
Check your spam folder, then use “Resend verification email” on the member sign-in form. Open the newest email link. If you have already verified your account, try signing in instead.
Go to sign in →Can I change my town or suburb later?
Yes. In “Search near you”, open “Change your town or suburb”, find your area by name or postcode, select the correct result and save your town and distance. Your listings use this saved member town.
Can I post an offer, a request, or both?
Yes. In the member listing builder choose Offer, Seek or Offer + seek. Add a title, category, relevant details and an exchange type. You can save a draft or submit it for review.
What does “Submit for review” do?
It saves your listing for administrator review and records your safety acknowledgement. Your listing must be active and approved before it can appear in member searches or automatic suggestions. Submission does not automatically approve it or create an agreement.
Will other members see my draft?
Draft listings are not included in member discovery or match suggestions. You can see your saved listings and their status under “Your listings”.
Why is my personal photo not showing?
Personal photos are uploaded privately for administrator review. A generic avatar is used until a photo is approved. If your photo is rejected, you can submit another from your member profile picture settings.
How do miles, kilometres and the search radius work?
Choose your radius and unit in “Search near you”, then save your preference. Distances are approximate straight-line distances between saved town centres, not driving distances. Yours Meets Mine does not need your browser or device location.
How are possible matches suggested?
Suggestions use your active, approved listings and compare offer/request keywords, category and exchange type with other approved listings inside your saved radius. Up to 12 suggestions are shown, with reasons for each. They refresh when you open or return to the member page, change saved preferences, or refresh them manually.
Do I have to accept a suggested match?
No. It is entirely your choice. You can view a suggestion, pursue it or ignore it. Yours Meets Mine does not automatically accept an offer, arrange an exchange, contact another member or create an agreement for you.
Why are there no suggestions yet?
You need an active, approved listing and a compatible listing from another member within your saved radius. Try a wider radius or check again as more listings are approved. Suggestions are not invented when nothing suitable is available.
How do I contact support if I cannot sign in?
The support page has a request form that also works when signed out. Include your contact email, a subject and enough detail to explain the issue. Keep the request reference shown after submission.
Contact support →How do I report a concerning listing or behaviour?
Send a support request and choose “Report a safety concern”. Include the listing title and relevant details. Do not include passwords, verification codes or identity documents. If anyone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services; the support inbox is not an emergency service.
Send a safety concern →Where can I read the rules and privacy information?
The legal and safety centre contains the Member Terms, Privacy Notice, Community Rules and Safety Acknowledgement. The documents are labelled as drafts while they await legal review.
